If the Senators are going to be this season's Calder Cup champions, they will have to do it on the road in Houston where the sixth and seventh (if necessary) games will take place.
After exchanging wins at the Toyota Center in Houston to start the series, the Finals moved to the Broome County Arena in Binghamton. The first two games on Senator ice led to the same result as in Houston - both teams skating away with wins, leaving the Finals knotted at 2 wins each.
Game 5 was played Saturday night with the Senators taking a 4-2 victory to take a 3-2 series lead as the teams head to Houston for Game 6 on Tuesday night.
Binghamton's Ryan Potulny continues to lead all AHL scorers in the playoffs with 14-12-26 in 22 playoff games. Potulny had been held pointless through the first four games of the Finals, he registered an assist on Saturday to break that skid.
Robin Lehner has been outstanding throughout the playoffs and continues to shine in the Finals. The Sen's netminder has turned in a 2.11 GAA and a .939 save percentage through 18 playoff games. Lehner has built on those numbers in the Finals, with a 1.38 GAA and a .957 save percentage.
Game 6 will be available on Sirius/XM radio. NHL Home Ice coverage can be found on Sirius 207 and XM 92. Game time is 8PM eastern.
