With their final pick of the 2011 draft, the Jackets chose goaltender Anton Forsberg 188th overall from the MODO system of the Swedish Elite league. Forsberg wasn't ranked by Central Scouting.

• New goaltending coach Ian Clark put some work in as a consultant with MODO last season- MODO GM Markus Naslund knew Clark from their time together with the Canucks.
  
• Clark highly recommended Forsberg at the draft table yesterday.
  
• Next season Forsberg will be splitting time in the MODO net with former NHLer Mikael Tellqvist.
  
• Earlier this spring he signed a three-year contract with MODO, so look for him to make the move to North American no sooner than two years from now.  
• He's got good size at 6-2, 175.
