Will the Columbus Blue jackets achieve 83 points this year? I know there is nothing special about that total. It would mean though that the Blue jackets would average more than one point per game. I guess it seems like an achievement to me though. It seems to say after lots of bad seasons a season where you average more than one point per game seems to mean you are a .500 team. Kind of like an 8-8 season in the NFL. After a lot of mediocre/poor seasons that would seem like an achievement or at least like they are moving in the right direction. This is after all the second most points the jackets have had in their 10 seasons. I've listed the point totals from each of the jackets seasons below, courtesy of Wikipedia. So do other fans think this season shows the team is headed in the right direction?
