Should the CBJ go after Bobby Ryan of the Ducks?
Yes they should...for many reasons...but im going to list only one.
Get rid of Boll and Dorsett and throw in Brassard and whatever else makes since.
Boll and Dorsett are good energy guys and they truly stick up for the team. But there is no room for that in this league anymore. We need players that can contribute to the score sheet. Neither one of them do. Could you imagine having a line with Nash-Carter-Ryan??? Wow!!! Brassard might be the point getter that can make the deal happen. I say go for it.
to the Ducks Boll, Dorsett, Brassard, and 2nd rd pick
to the CBJ Bobby Ryan and 6th rd pick

if hawson approached Murry with that deal, he would be laughed out of the NHL. They are not going to give up a talent like ryan for a 4th line. (and not even a good one at that)
If columbus is lucky (and assuming no other team out bids them)
he might be had for Vermette, a 1st round prospect and a prospect (Ruth/Golobeuf/Atkinson) and even that would be pushing it.
I think we can just put the entire
Bobby Ryan rumor to Columbus away. With Carlyle gone, it’s clear he is going to be the scapegoat to the bad start.
Even so, we would have to outbid Toronto, NYR, Carolina, possibly Boston among others. Not going to happen. I’ll also assume ducks asking price is real high. They would probably want johansen in which I would hope howson would put the phone down and move on
