Fritsche Invited To Camp
Per Aaron Portzline of the Dispatch, former Blue Jacket and Ohio native Dan Fritsche has been invited to training camp on a professional tryout agreement. Fritsche played last season in the AHL with the Crunch after failing to make the Atlanta Thrashers out of training camp.
With 42 points in 67 games last year in the 'Cuse, Fritsche probably did earn the chance at a tryout, but I'm doubtful he's going to find his way back into the NHL in Columbus unless he's comfortable taking a bottom 6 role, and even then the competition will be steep.

If he’ll take a bottom six role and accept 4th line money I like him a lot better then I do Murray or Blunden, as he’s shown some actual skill.
That’s true, but remember part of why he was shipped to New York (and later from the Rangers to the Wild) was that he wouldn’t accept not playing in the top six. Though I suppose a year of the riding the buses can and will humble a man…
