Host some Buckeye’s hockey games…maybe against Michigan. Nationwide is a beautiful arena.
I still say a Winter Classic at the ‘Shoe’ against Detroit would be wicked. You could go to the ‘Big House’ as well. Just be amazing to see like 100,000 fans going nuts.

I’d love to see Columbus as a site for the Frozen Four – even a regional site? That’d be really awesome.

Maybe if you could lure the Frozen Four to Columbus and be successful…you possibly open doors for the possibility to host a Winter Classic in Columbus.
I forget where they had that one game over in Europe but having like 80,000 fans show up and cheering is an impressive site. Having it at ‘the Shoe’ and being able to host 100,000 would be a spectacle in itself.
Alas, I would have to agree with you Tolliver, probably got a snowball’s chance because the marketing value isn’t as great as Ovie/Crosby. Be nice to see someone get creative and think outside that box.

honestly, If columbus puts a competitive team on the ice for a couple seasons, I could see this happening. especially if those couple of seasons resulted in CBJ vs. Detroit playoff series

not anywhere near Columbus.
+ ‘05 my access to hockey was limited…hell it was limited for a lot of people unless you were really around the area. Isn’t technology nice how it delivers something that can be out of your view range and put it smack dab in your house….
also this is more of connecting OSU with the Jackets now, today, present time.
