Jackets, Stralman will go to Arbitration
Per Aaron Portzline of the Dispatch, the Blue Jackets exchanged briefs today with Marc Levine, the agent for Anton Stralman, and it appears there will be no further negotiations between the two sides. Portzline is stating on twitter that he expects the arbitration hearing to go forward as scheduled on Wednesday.
The team has requested a 1 year arbitration award so that they have the option of releasing Stralman to free agency should they disagree with the arbitrator. There have been no reports of the exact amounts each side is looking for, but it appears the difference between the two positions is around $1 million.
