According to Twitterer Everett_Duke, who says he got it from a patch manufacturer's catalog, that's the 10th anniversary logo for the CBJ. True? Hard to confirm, but it certainly looks like it. I'd expect to see the "official" logo unveiling at the NHL draft party down at Nationwide on June 25th.

It’s alright but it will not be the tattoo that I get. When my son turns 18 we are going to go get the current logo tattooed on our biceps.
Thats sweet as hell. I want to get a tattoo of the original logo I think…

I know this will sound horrible but I really like the current logo a lot more than the original. I remember when I first saw the current one I thought, “thank God it’s better than the old one”. I have about a year until my tattoo becomes a reality.
If it helps, I feel the same way. :) I never quite got the original logo, but I fell in love with the new logo as soon as it came out on the old 3rd jersey.
(So, of course, I’m now both interested and terrified to find out what the new third jersey will look like…)

I like it
simple, straight to the point
Players who should be in the Hall of Fame: Pat TIllman, Dwight White, Donnie Shell, L.C. Greenwood, Ray Guy, Steve Tasker, Greg Llyod, Andy Russel, Cris Carter, Kevin Greene and Jerry Kramer

I’m the source of the original photo – it’s straight from the back of the packaging for the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals patch put out by National Emblem, so unless there are any late design changes, that should be it.
Great, thank you for letting us know!
