Game 72 Preview: Jackets Face Their Nemesis in Nashville

One of these days the Jackets can finally beat the Preds, right? Nashville has absolutely dominated Columbus for the past few seasons, and with Columbus'  depleted post-deadline lineup, it doesn't look like things will change tonight. The Dispatch is reporting that Derek Dorsett may be out of the lineup after getting banged up against Minnesota last night. Forward Trevor Frischmon was called up on an emergency basis. If Frischmon is in the lineup tonight, he'll be making his NHL debut.

Last night Claude Noel changed up the top six, putting Nash with Jake and Brass. Umby moved to a line with Vermette and Juice. The lines looked great together, especially Nasher's line. I look for them to start the game together again. Mase gets the start against Rinne tonight- these two goaltender's careers will always be intertwined. They both put up impressive rookie seasons last year, but Rinne has easily put up the better sophomore season.

Fearless Prediction: We'll see the line of Nash-Umberger-Voracek play together for most of the game.

From the Columbus Dispatch:

The Blue Jackets have lost 13 straight (0-9-4) in Nashville, including two shootout losses this season. It's the longest current losing streak by one club against an opponent in the NHL. Blue Jackets interim coach Claude Noel worked in the Nashville organization before joining Columbus three seasons ago.

The spamming seems to be network-wide, it took a while before it hit us but it looks like it finally did. I appreciate the offer WV, I should be able to stay on top of it for now though.
