Game 69 Open Thread: Jackets vs. Blues

St. Louis Blues at Columbus Blue Jackets, Mar 13, 2010 7:00 PM EST

This will likely be one of those ugly, out-hussle-your-opponent style games. The Jackets are without two-thirds of their top line, and they will need to play an air-tight style against the Blues. I believe this game will come down to special teams and goaltending. (Crazy concept, i know).

I look for Russ and the Brass line to step up. They absolutely have to. If they don't, we're closer to Taylor Hall. That's not such a bad thing however....

I hate to say this...

I want to believe something good will finally be bestowed upon our Jackets by the hockey gods…but our gods are cruel and have no mercy…

Play spoiler for the most part, so not to look foolish but know that you are done and just settle into the spot we get, look towards next season.

also...

I do think one of the last games, or THE last game, the Cannon community should get on and talk on the Game Thread…. maybe share some thoughts on next season too.

I would love for that to happen every game!

the 14 game losing streak killed all the momentum we had going into the season. We started to get on because the Jackets were worth talking about, there was excitement. The lulls hit hard, Mase hit the slump like a drunk teen on prom night (no offense to anyone out there), offense was streaky, defense almost non-existent on nights….terrible hockey folks.

I know why no on talks on here right now…but I think if we can finish off the season strong it will rollover to the next season.
