Your Favorite Piece of Blue Jackets Memorabilia

I know we all have something Jackets related that we bought either at a Game or on the Internet so what is your favorite piece of Jackets Memorabilia.

Star-divide

For me its the Blue Jackets Hockey Puck that I bought at my first Blue Jackets game last season when we played the Rangers in Nick Zherdev's first game back in Columbus, which also happened to be free RIck Nash T-shirt night, since it was the first Blue Jackets thing I bought, if memory serves me right. So wither its a Jersey, a shirt, a Jackets Jacket, or a hat what is your favorite Colubus Blue Jackets thing you own

I actually have 4

But two of them go together, and so do the other two. I’ll throw out a couple dates…

10/17/08 and 4/23/09
On October 17 of 08, it was the Jackets home opener against Nashville. It also marked the tribute to team founder John H. McConnell. They gave away hats with his initials and I went into the shop and bought the pin that I saw Jeff Rimer and Danny Gare wearing.

April 23 we all know. The Jackets were in the playoffs and facing off with the Red Wings at home. It was game 4. I bought myself a puck and pin commemorating the team’s first trip to the post season. I actually got the puck signed by Mase at the draft party and its currently sitting displayed, in a case, in my basement.

Where do I start?

I have quite a few “favorite” Jacket items… Probably my favorite would be the autograph yearbook that Vyborny/Chimera/Modin/Zherdev signed. We stayed for one of the post game autograph sessions and while everyone was lined up to get Nash and Leclaire, I was able to speak with Vyborny who is my second favorite Jacket all-time. I also have a Geoff Sanderson banner like the ones you see hanging from the poles downtown, I love that thing but don’t have anywhere to hang it. Sanderson is one of my favorite hockey players ever.

I have been lucky enough to obtain quite a bit of memoribilia without paying an arm and a leg.

I would

but I don’t want it to fade or become weather worn at all. It’s in really good condition.

I’m about to buy a jersey. The Blueline usually puts former players jerseys on sale

Living in Montreal, all my friends are pretty hard on me for being the only Blue Jackets fan, but for my birthday my best friend got me a signed Steve Mason rookie of the year puck – that’s by far my favorite piece of memorabilia. I also love my jersey though. I also got an authentic Rick Nash team Canada jersey, I don’t know if you consider that Jackets property tho :)

My Rick Nash home jersey….and the puck I got off Nationwide Ice during their pre-game against Dallas last season.
