Hockey's Future Jackets' NCAA Prospect Update

Hockey's Future posted a prospect update for the Columbus prospects currently playing in the NCAA. You can find it HERE.

I'll be keeping a close eye on Cam Atkinson, we may have ourselves a great little sniper on our hands down the road.

Larkin

I got to see Thomas Larkin, Allen York and Sean Collins in person as the came up in their ECAC games vs. Clarkson. Collins wasn’t very noteworthy, and I even tried to pay attention to him. He didn’t garner much ice time and was never really involved in interesting play while out there. At best he seems like a depth player even at the college level.

York wasn’t very tested when he came north to play. RPI cruised to a victory in this game, leaving little real work for their goalie. However, all indications are that when actually tested he stands up pretty well. I hope my school puts together enough of a team to see what York’s all about.

Larkin on the other hand looked very impressive. He’s only a freshman at Colgate, but looks very impressive. He moved well, never seemed out of place and even saw where there was opportunity to forecheck a bit and pinch as needed. I’m a tad disappointed that he ended up scoring on Clarkson, but his goal was an impressive display of reach. I look forward to watching him again next year when he comes up to Cheel (unless he somehow makes it pro?)
