Some early tidbits for you from Sweden courtesy of Aaron Portzline and Tom Reed on Twitter - even better, for once it's all good news! First, Kris Russell was evaluated today and the aggravation to his knee was not serious. Russell was able to skate today, and should be fine for Friday and Saturday's games. Second, the team has decided to cancel a scheduled practice for today in order to meet with new NHLPA head Donald Fehr, and will practice tomorrow instead. Finally, the team has named their alternate captains for the 2010-2011 season. Ethan Moreau and R. J. Umberger will be your "primary" alternate captains, while Antoine Vermette will wear the A if one or both of those players are out of the lineup. Not shocking, really, but I was hoping Mike Commodore might be considered for one of the "A"s, too.
