Game 46 Preview: Can the Jackets avoid getting burned by the Flames?

Last night's win felt good didn't it Jackets fans? The situations facing the Jackets tonight haven't been kind to the team this season- second game of a back to back, road game, and the Jackets have lost six of seven in Calgary. The lineup remains mostly the same from last night, with the exception of Garon getting the start and Commie returns from his personal hiatus. He'll likely go in for Roy.

Last night's game wasn't perfect, but they'll need to be close to it tonight against the Flames. They are a tough, physical team that gets timely scoring, not to mention their defense and goaltending are stellar. Nash needs to be "on" tonight. Juice and Umby have been carrying the offensive load tonight, and the big guy needs to join the party. The Killer Vees have to step up as well. If the forwards don't carry the load, this could be a nasty one. Garon will obviously need to be sharp.

Fearless Prediction : Jackets build off of their win last night and stick it to the Flames.

From the Columbus Dispatch:

The Jackets always seem to play wild games in Calgary, where they have lost six of the past seven. Of course, no place on the road has been kind to the Jackets, who entered last night's game in Edmonton having lost 13 straight away from Nationwide Arena. The most recent game against the Flames, on Nov. 28, was a heartbreaker for the Jackets, who allowed two goals late and lost 4-3 in a shootout.
