Use the force, Steve.

Long story short. Playing in Boston tonight. It won't be an easy game, even if Boston is considering sitting Tim Thomas. We took them out last year in part of what I consider, the best four game win streak in team history. A 2-0 win thanks to Torres' goal, and Nasher's empty netter, and Mase's outstanding play. We can beat these guys, its just going to be tough. I think it will be a lot like the Philly game; hard hitting, gritty, and entertaining.

Now, lets get down to business.

And away we go!

Puck-rakers:

This picture from cartoonist Mookie is a doozy. If you want a really, really good laugh, take a look.

The transcript from yesterday's Blue Jackets chat with Aaron Portzline. He talks about moving Torres, more on Filatov, the team leaving Columbus and more!

Did anyone see Jeff Carter's goal that came from a won faceoff? Yeah, Mathieu Garon didn't either.

This is a feel good story about the players having their dads on the current road trip with them. This is the first time the team has done something like this, and I think they'll continue it in the future.

BlueJackets.com:

Prospects report. Learn these names, and fast; John Moore, Matt Calvert, and Tomas Kubalik.

The Stinger donut is back!

NHL.com:

State of the division through 1/19. I'm proud to have another classy guy like Chris Clark on my team. He's more valuable than we know.

DING DING Round 1. Its hard to believe that this late into the year, tonight is the first meeting between the Capitals and the Penguins. I for one, will have my eyes glued to this game as much as possible. I predict a maddening score-fest. Go Caps!

Yahoo! Sports:

I don't know how many more times I can say it without freaking out but...Brodeur does it again.

The fight of the night came from last night's St. Louis/Montreal game, and so did this.

-

TSN.ca:

Often, we look at team rankings to measure ourselves again the rest of the league, but TSN look at the players individually.

Commissioner Gary Bettman talks head shots, the Burrows/Auger spat, and Edmonton's new rink.

Quote of the day:

"I think there's an unspoken bond here, we've all been to 6 a.m. practices in our time"

- Bill Mason, father of G Steve Mason. Ah, to be a kid again. Must bring back a ton of memories for the fathers.

Fight of the night:

This fight between Blues RW B.J. Crombeen and Canadiens LW Travis Moen wins by default for being the only fight from last night's action.
