Game 52 Preview: Jackets roll into Philly

The Jackets make the rare trek to Philly tonight to take on the Flyers. It's the second game of a back-to-back so we should see Steve Mason in net tonight. Freddy Modin is also eligible to come off of IR today but we'll have to wait and see if he plays tonight or not. If he does look for Andrew Murray to get time in the pressbox. The Jackets are on a bit of a high right now after defeating the Blues last night 4-2. It was a well-played game by Columbus, the only real mistake they made was surrendering the first goal a shortly after the game started (again). Instead of getting discouraged, they battled back.

Derick Brassard had his best game of the season last night, and I look for him to continue his hot play. Ditto for Raffi, that guy has been one of the best for the Jackets this year. He's Mr. Clutch. The third member of that line, Jake Voracek, needs to get his game going. He's been playing well and racking up helpers, but he needs to start scoring some goals. Brass should be able to help in that department.

Fearless Prediction: More than one scrap tonight!

I agree about Jake. He’s really gotta use that size to push other guys around. If ever there was a game he needs to do this, its tonight. Philly is a tough bunch. I see at least 2 scraps; probably Boller and Scrappy Doo.

Glad to see OK-T is back and skating again. Poor guy can’t catch a break. Hope we don’t rough him up too much…

Fearless Prediction: More than one scrap tonight!

Against the flyers, that’s not really a fearless prediction

a fearless prediction whould be no fights tonight

Players who should be in the Hall of Fame: DIck Lebeau, Pat TIllman, Dwight White, Donnie Shell, L.C. Greenwood, Ray Guy, Steve Tasker, Greg Llyod, Andy Russel, Cris Carter, Kevin Greene and Jerry Kramer
"If you give Arians a fullback, he won’t use one. Instead, he insists on using Matt Spaeth, who probably doesn’t cast a shadow because it would require blocking sunlight." steelin with some very true words

Commie is out for tonight. Means Juice2 will be in.

I think we should change Juice2 to Gin or ‘Jin’ given the spelling of his name. That way we can say we have Gin and Juice on ice. Har de har har har.

Also, Picard cleared waivers and is back in Syracuse, and Modin was activated off IR.

BTW good luck with the Haiti thread tonight. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it, even though unlike last night’s Leafs game, I could actually watch this one on tv
