Don't forget, the NHL Awards ceremony is tomorrow night (Thursday the 18th). It will be aired live on Versus at 7:30 PM.
Two of our very own boys in blue will be up for awards. Steve Mason is nominated for the Calder Trophy, which is awarded to the rookie of the year. He is also nominated for the Vezina Trophy, given to the league's best goaltender. And Rick Nash is up for the NHL Foundation Award, given to a player "in recognition of their commitment and service to charities in their communities."
Steve and Rick have the chance to bring hardware to Columbus for first time in 5 years since Rick Nash won the Rocket Richard for scoring the most goals in a season.
And if you haven't heard, Steve Mason is blogging for BlueJackets.com during his trip to Las Vegas.
Good luck!
