Where oh where have you gone Freddy Norrena? Talk about a mismanaged aspect of the franchise, we never should’ve let Freddy run away from us if trading Pazzy was planned early on

Craig Anderson was a fantastic backup for Florida. I think he’d fit in well here.

Pyle – the problem with Freddy was that he conclusively was NOT able to handle being a backup, and he lost the consistency he’d shown a couple years ago that would have made him an acceptable starter.

Anderson is my pick as well. He seems to have a great attitude and loves competing which is what we need from a back-up.

Backup in the system

What is wrong w/ LaCosta. He came up and got a few quality wins last season. I saw both he and Wade play, and he played much better, looked confident in the 3rd period of his shut out. As much as Mason played last season I say give LaCosta the chance w/ the big squad. Why not?

He’s still very young, especially for a goalie.

LaCosta made great strides last year, but I think we should let him have his time to develop in Syracuse. It will be beneficial for him to continue to compete with Lalande for starts.

He’s a great option to have to call-up if a goalie gets injured, but if Mason or LaCosta went down next year, then what? Not to mention someone with age and experience can help mentor Mason along the way as well.

i like either lacosta or someone like veteran brent johnson to join us. Mason is our starter and he will be shouldering alot of the load anyways. Dubie just wasn’t consistent and Norrena was let go to Europe. Maybe Kevin Weekes…..

As much as I want to see Conklin warm Mason’s seat on the bench. CBJ won’t get him. He will follow the money and the Cup to stay with Detroit. He was a great back-up for the Penguins, and why they didn’t use him more confuses me.

other choice

lacosta….seeing him play for the cbj told me we have a winner here that deserves a shot…remember mason people?
