World Championships Update

For the first time in Spring, Blue Jackets fans don't have a vested interest in the World Championships, currently underway in Switzerland. The tournament concludes on Sunday, and the only player from this years roster to join his countries team is Kristian Huselius.

And is Kristian Huselius shining.

He had a rough few games coming back during the playoffs. He was returning from his second minor concussion this season.  Although, in game 4, much like the rest of the team, he found his game and collected a goal and an assist.

That momentum has carried over to his play for Team Sweden, where he has four goals and three assists for seven point and is +4 in 5 games.

Sweden is currently facing the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals. Through 2 periods, Sweden is up 2-0 on a power play goal by former Blue Jacket Dick Tarnstrom.

Update: Sweden defeated the Czech Republic by a final score of 3-1 and advance to play Canada tomorrow afternoon.

Final Update: Team Sweden won bronze after beating Team USA today by a final score of 4-2.
