Stanley Cup Finals Resources

The 2009 Stanley Cup Finals begin tomorrow, with the Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins facing off at 8 PM. The game will be shown on NBC, CBC, and RDS.

I wanted to post a quick round-up of good links to follow and other information for the Finals.

One of the best blogs on SB Nation is PensBurgh, which of course follows the Pittsburgh Penguins. For your Red Wings news, hit Winging It In Motown. We also have a great playoff portal here at SB Nation.

The TV schedule for the Stanley  Cup Finals in the US and Canada is as follows:

Saturday, May 30 at Detroit, 8:00 pm NBC, CBC, RDS
Sunday, May 31 at Detroit, TBD-Night NBC, CBC, RDS
Tuesday, June 2 at Pittsburgh, 8:00 pm VERSUS, CBC, RDS
Thursday, June 4 at Pittsburgh, 8:00 pm VERSUS, CBC, RDS
* Saturday, June 6 at Detroit, 8:00 pm NBC, CBC, RDS
* Tuesday, June 9 at Pittsburgh, 8:00 pm NBC, CBC, RDS
* Friday, June 12 at Detroit, 8:00 pm NBC, CBC, RDS

* if necessary

For general NHL blogs, but I'm sure they'll have great Finals coverage as well, check out Puck Daddy's blog on Yahoo! Sports and James Mirtle's From The Rink

And of course, NHL.com. They've done a great job with the updates to the website for the 2009 playoffs. The Portal features great information, stories, and even posts from SB Nation!

For a general news source, I'm always a fan of TSN. They offer great coverage for everything in the NHL.

Did I miss any links? Hit the comments and I'll update this post to make sure this can be a great resource page to get Finals news.

Thanks for the link love. Do I have to ask who you’re backing in this one or should the guys and gals at Pensburgh already know?

Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com and twitter.

Don’t worry! When it comes down to it, it’s never a question — anybody but Detroit needs to win!

The Cannon is behind you.
