Steve Mason has been named The Sporting News' Rookie of the Year, an award voted on by 292 NHL players.
From the Sporting News' story:
The entire awards package will appear in this week's Sporting News Magazine, which is available at all Barnes & Noble, Borders and Hudson Retail outlets.
Hopefully Mase can carry this success to the NHL awards next month in Las Vegas.
