Thank You Blue Jackets

Thanks for a memorable season. For setting new records, personal bests, and of course, making the playoffs.

Thank you to General Manager Howson, Coach Hitchcock, and the rest of the coaching, development, and management staff. You've righted this ship and this will be a fun ride.

Thanks Steve Mason -- you saved our season. I already can't wait to see you next Fall when you get a proper Summer of conditioning and a real training camp. To think of all you did in the NHL after coming back from 2 knee surgeries and only 3 AHL games to prepare is even more incredible.

Thank you Rick Nash. You are the captain we've always needed. You left it all out on the ice, and it's a pleasure watching a world class player night in and night out in Columbus. I really can't say more -- I'm just thrilled you are our fearless leader.

Thank you RJ Umberger, Fedor Tyutin, Mike Commodore, Kristian Huselius, Jake Voracek, and Derick Brassard for coming in this year and changing this team. And thank you Jan Hejda, for quietly being one of the best defensemen in the league.

Thanks to the Blue Jackets for signing one of the MVP's of our season, Ryan Salmons. Truly an inspiration, and yet another reason to be proud to support this team.

Thank you for being an amazing organization from top to bottom. I am proud to be a fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Most of all, thanks to the fans. The level of support and respect the fans and Blue Jackets have for each other makes it a truly rewarding experience.

Have a good Summer. We'll get 'em next year!

Well said

We simply could not afford another year of missed playoffs. The guys came through in a big way. It is amazing how the talent has upgraded in just over two years. Voracek, Brassard, and Filatov will be the guys too look out for next year. If all three are around 20 goals, watch out.
