Another loss to the Preds

That makes twelve in a row.
You have to respect the fact that the Jackets were still in the game until late in the third, even taking the lead for a short time. The team was without their best player in Rick Nash, their top faceoff man (and NHL leading faceoff man) in Manny Malholtra, and the team also had Mike Peca, Freddy Modin and Gilbert Brule out with injuries. That's a lot of firepower sitting in the press box.
Freddy Norrena was his usual steady self, but the Preds were just....better.
One night before, the team executed perfect Hitch hockey, and came out with a shutout victory of Ilya Kovalchuk and his Atlanta Thrashers. The Jackets'next game is tomorrow night against another Southeast division opponent- the Carolina Hurricanes. Let's hope the team takes the day off to get things back on track and can look to improve their record to 2-1 against the Southeast.

They were better because too many of our veterans were out of the line up, and because our team still feels cursed against them. I would LOVE to be at the PLAYER PARTY the night we finally beat them. It will be a blow out. -JF

If we ice a healthy lineup, we should be able to handle the Preds easily. Especiually if the game is in Nationwide.
