Final Roster

The Jackets sent both Kris Beech and Marc Methot to Syracuse today, essentially finalizing the roster heading into Friday's opener against the Ducks. The roster and line combos are:

Nash - Fedorov - Vyborny
Chimera - Novotny - Zherdev
Modin - Peca - Brule
Fritsche - Malholtra - Boll

EXTRA: Shelley, Glencross

Klesla - Hainsey
Foote - Hejda
Russell - Tollefsen
Westcott

Leclaire
Norrena

Glencross is still with the team because Modin and Peca still have nagging injuries. They have been practicing this week, so they might be good to go for Friday, and if so, you'll likely see Glencross sent to Syracuse. (Providing he clears waivers)

Sounds like Peca is not going to happen this weekend... which means I suppose we'll see Glencross. What do you think that does line-wise? I suppose Manny would move up. I'm still interested to see how Chimera and Z work together on a line as well... I'm curious if that line makes it through a week of camp.

I think you'll see Manny move up, with the fourth line being likely Glencross - Fritsche - Boll. Anaheim is the opponent, so maybe Boll gets scratched in favor of Shelley. Mainly because of Parros.

Personally, I'd like to see Boll be on the opening night roster. He's earned it.

Hey Mike, what's your game plan for updating the depth chart?

Hey cyrus, I've updated the depth chart. I've been quite busy lately and have slacked a bit on updating the blog.

Everything is up to date!

Awesome!! Great work on the depth chart. I didn't even know we still had the rights to Andrej Nedorost.

I'm not 100% positive, but I believe with Euros we own their rights until they turn 30.

Nedorost will be 30 in 2010.
